On our tenth anniversary, my husband said he had a surprise for me. I waited for him all night with a nosebleed, but he stood me up. Disheartened, I called him, but his assistant answered. "Mr. Garcia will be with me tonight; you don't mind, do you?" Hearing Luna's coy voice, I was disappointed. "I don't mind. You can have what's left of him." I hung up the phone, tears streaming down my face. Levi, I'm dying, do you know that? Early the next morning, Levi returned looking cheerful. Seeing me lying on the sofa looking exhausted, Levi spoke indifferently. "I'll take a shower. Prepare the clothes I need to wear." I didn't respond, staring blankly at the pile of blood-stained tissues in the trash can. Soon, Levi came out after his shower, frowning slightly. He then took a property deed out of his bag and placed it on the coffee table. It seemed that the surprise he mentioned was the deed to our villa. When he bought this villa, he never told me about it. It was his personal assistant, Luna Taylor, who chose it, and it was initially transferred to her name. Even the villa's interior design was handled entirely by Luna. What was worse, Luna even hung her own photos on the villa's walls. Sometimes I wondered who the real mistress of this house was. On the day I moved in, I smashed all of Luna's photos. I argued with him about this several times, and he just said he didn't want me to tire myself out, so he let Luna handle it. A year after moving in, he finally remembered to transfer the deed. He even considered it a surprise for me, but now, I didn't want it anymore. I looked at him expressionlessly. "Levi, let's get a divorce." Levi thought he misheard and looked at me in surprise. "What did you say? Divorce?"

Levi's gaze fell on the property deed on the coffee table. "How could Luna know you'd be upset about this? She just did what you should have done." Yes, Luna did what I should have done, even took on the role of being his wife for me. In his eyes, Luna was always a considerate and understanding assistant. And I was just a jealous, petty woman. After all, Luna was the lover he could never have. They grew up together, and Luna had a crush on him since childhood. But then Luna went abroad to study, and when she came back, Levi was already married to me. Luna was very unwilling to accept this, so she became Levi's assistant. They were like a couple at the company and left together after work. Everyone in the company thought Luna was his wife. I knew Levi had what it took to attract women. Handsome and a domineering CEO, he was always surrounded by women. Luna was also pretty. When she offered herself, he naturally didn't refuse. Watching his indifferent demeanor, my heart was filled with bitterness. Levi, while tying his tie, asked me with his back turned. "How is our daughter doing at kindergarten today?" I replied numbly. "Ask her yourself." Levi's parents lived in the old villa. Levi and I originally lived in a large apartment in the city. But then Levi suddenly said the city was too noisy. So he had Luna buy this villa in the suburbs. But he rarely came back, saying it was a bit far from the company. So this villa ended up being a place I lived in alone. I knew they often stayed at that large apartment. It turned out he bought another villa for me just to make room for him and Luna. As for our child, his parents raised her, and he rarely visited. Last night, he and Luna even went to the villa to celebrate our daughter's birthday early. He didn't even notify me. Every year, we celebrate her actual birthday. I was the one who always arranged everything, but now he was suddenly playing the devoted father. Noticing my off tone, Levi frowned. "If Luna were her mother, she'd definitely do a better job than you." I laughed coldly. "Perfect, divorce me, and you can marry her as our daughter's stepmother." Levi's expression froze, then turned slightly angry. "Emma, you're crazy! When did I ever agree to divorce you?" Levi picked up his briefcase and walked to the door. Watching his cold, rigid back, I spoke indifferently. "Levi, I'm dying. Stage 3 of leukemia."

Two months ago, I suddenly felt feverish and my nose started bleeding profusely. I endured the discomfort and drove to the hospital, where I was diagnosed with acute leukemia. At that time, Levi was accompanying Luna to take her dog to the vet. It turned out when she said she was feeling unwell, it was only because her dog was sick. And here I was, his lawful wife, a living person who was almost dying, and he didn't even know. When I forced myself to return home from the hospital, I made a decision. I wouldn't stay with him any longer, we should end this. I thought Levi didn't hear me, but he turned his head. His face showed a trace of disdainful mockery. "Last time it wasn't lung cancer, so this time it's leukemia." I knew he didn't believe me. In the past, I had thrown tantrums and said I was dying. But this time, it was real. After Levi left, I quickly packed a few clothes and moved out of the villa. When he came back again, he wouldn't hear my pleas for reconciliation. I wondered if he would get used to it. ... My love with Levi was an accident. Levi had a privileged upbringing and a family business. He had a top-tier education from a young age, while I was just a delinquent girl. Maybe out of curiosity, he said he had never seen a girl as bold and flamboyant as me. Because I would run to the basketball court to fight boys and stand up for bullied girls. As for him, he was always the aloof rich young master. One time, he kindly offered his jacket to a girl on her period. But I mistook him for a pervert harassing the girl. I dashed over and punched him in the head. A big lump immediately formed on his head, and I realized I had acted on a good intention gone wrong. After that, I got to know him and began shamelessly pursuing him. He was a noble young man, always restrained and polite. I was a delinquent girl; I didn't care about manners and propriety. I only knew that I wanted this man. Because of his words, his parents wouldn't allow him to marry a delinquent girl. I completely reformed myself into a lady and a top student. Maybe he was moved, but he finally accepted me. Although his parents still didn't approve. But he said he could fight the whole world for me. We vowed to never part in this lifetime. Young love is always so pure and passionate. At that time, we were still in school and had no financial means. Levi moved out of his home to be with me. We rented the cheapest small house, and those times were tough for us. After school, we had to work part-time at a supermarket, and on weekends we washed dishes at a restaurant. To earn some living expenses, Levi even sold his beloved watch. But we took joy in our hardships, and I even laughed at how the rich young master had fallen. Back then, we never thought we would come to this point today. Lost in thought, I was sitting in this trendy cafe when I unexpectedly ran into Luna. Luna saw me, first she was startled, then she smiled and greeted me. At this moment, the waiter brought the coffee I ordered. "Miss Moore, did you come to have coffee alone?" I glanced at the people sitting together in the cafe. It did seem a bit odd, and Luna walked over to me. "Miss Moore, I heard you have leukemia, it's quite serious. You must treat it well; it's not a terminal illness." In the past, I would inexplicably tense up when I saw Luna. But now, I didn't. I smiled slightly at Luna. "It doesn't matter if I die, doesn't Levi still have you?" Just as I finished speaking, Levi unexpectedly walked in, his face very cold.

I thought he might have heard what I said. When Luna saw Levi come in, she immediately took his arm. "Levi, why did you come so late? I got tired of waiting at the door and finally came in..." Luna's face showed a mix of coyness and resentment, but her tone was sickeningly sweet. Levi reached out to pat Luna's shoulder in comfort, then looked at me with a cold expression. "Aren't you supposed to be dying? Yet you have the leisure to come out for coffee," he said. I didn't bother to respond and got up to leave. Levi let go of Luna and grabbed my arm. "Emma! What's wrong with you? What do you want?" he demanded. I had left the villa for several days, and he hadn't asked me anything. Now, he still thought I was just throwing a tantrum. I shook off Levi's arm and looked at him coldly. "I don't want anything, just making room for you and your dear assistant!" I said. Hearing this, the people who had been whispering looked up to watch the gossip. Levi's tone finally softened. "The pastries in this cafe are very good. Luna likes them a lot. Why don't you join us?" he suggested. I let out a cold laugh. "Enjoy yourselves. I'm not interested," I said. After saying that, I walked out of the cafe without looking back.

I lived in the house my grandmother left behind. After she passed away, the house had been empty. There were too many traces of my childhood memories with my grandmother here. At least, there was nothing that made me feel the despair Levi did. I had just started the car when Levi suddenly chased after me. He placed his hand on my car window and asked when I would move back. At that moment, Luna also chased out, but she was chasing Levi. "Ouch, Levi, I twisted my ankle. It's all your fault for running out so suddenly..." Levi frowned, then let go and walked towards Luna. I let out a cold laugh, closed the car window, and drove away. A few days later, Levi called me, saying his mom was sick and asked me to come see her. After work that evening, I drove to the Garcia residence. As soon as I entered, I saw Levi's parents happily playing with my daughter. My daughter was being held by Luna, who was peeling a jelly to feed her. Levi sat on the other side, his hand gently stroking her head. What a warm and loving family they seemed, while I, the biological mother, was like an outsider! I walked over, snatched the jelly from my daughter's hand, and pulled her into my arms. "Kids can't eat whole jellies. Don't you have any common sense?" I said. Luna looked a bit embarrassed and immediately gazed at me with an aggrieved expression. "Sorry, Miss Moore, I really didn't know..." Luna said, apologetically. Levi glared at me unhappily and said coldly. "Enough, it's just a small thing. No need to make a fuss!" I looked at Levi's mother, Jane, who was happily eating fruit on the sofa. "Wasn't it said that mom was sick? She looks fine to me," I said. Luna immediately chimed in. "Sick? No, Miss Moore, you must have misheard. Auntie is in great health." Upon hearing what I said, Jane immediately put on an unpleasant expression. "What do you mean by that? Are you hoping every day that I'll get sick?" she snapped.

I knew that Levi's parents never liked me from the beginning. Over the years, although I eventually ended up with Levi. His family never truly accepted me. After all, the Garcia family was wealthy, and I was just an orphan who grew up with my grandmother. I endured the Garcia family for ten years. Now, I didn't have to endure anymore. I looked coldly at Levi and Luna, who were singing the same tune, a perfect couple. "Didn't you tell me your mom was sick and wanted me to come? Your mom isn't sick, it's you and your mistress who are sick," I said. Over the years, I had gotten used to enduring. Perhaps Luna had never seen me so tough. She was immediately frightened and looked at Levi in bewilderment. Levi immediately spoke up to defend Luna. "Emma, what's wrong with you? How long has it been since you came to see Mom? As a daughter-in-law, shouldn't you come to see her?" he said. I let out a cold laugh. "Is it that I don't want to see Mom, or that your mom never liked me? Ask her if she wants me to come," I said. The Garcia family had never liked me, and Levi knew it. I guessed he wanted to show filial piety in front of his parents this time. Yes, outsourcing filial piety to his daughter-in-law, this hypocritical man! Levi was at a loss for words, and Luna couldn't wait to interrupt. "Oh, Miss Moore, isn't it right for you to come see them?" said Luna. Levi might have always thought he hadn't been a caring father. And he thought I, who hadn't been to the old residence for months, didn't care about our daughter either. But he never knew that I went to the kindergarten to see our daughter every day before and after work. Even though they had a driver to pick her up, I never missed a day. So, when he asked about our daughter, it wasn't that I didn't know. I simply didn't bother to answer him! And now, even that mistress had the nerve to tell me what to do? I looked at Luna coldly, full of mockery. "Luna, I don't care if you pick up the man I don't want, but don't interfere with my daughter, or I don't know what I might do!" I said. Luna's expression immediately changed when I scolded her as a mistress. She looked at Levi with eyes full of grievance and a plea for help. Levi looked at me with a cold expression. "Emma, speak nicely to Luna. After all, she's been with me for many years!" he said. "If she's been with you for so many years, why didn't you wait to marry her? Why marry me?" I said. After saying that, I turned and was about to leave. Levi's stern shout came from behind me. "Did I say you could leave?!" he yelled. I didn't turn back and laughed coldly. "What, do I need your permission to go somewhere?" I said. Maybe my recent attitude changes were too much for Levi to handle. There was a moment of silent tension in the air. I knew this was a sign of Levi's impending outburst. Sure enough, the next second, Levi grabbed my arm, glaring at me furiously. "Apologize to my mom and Luna! Or else, I won't be polite!" he demanded. Relying on his physical strength, Levi actually tried to forcibly push me to the ground! I was immediately furious. I gritted my teeth and slapped Levi across the face!
